Case Study # 2: Meeting Worldwide Timelines

In a global Oncology study ongoing in North and South America as well as in Europe, patient accrual was at less than anticipated numbers. TMI was approached to help in conducting a small component of the study in India. Although TMI sites were opened approximately 11 months after the Western sites, TMI delivered 50% of the worldwide requirements in 6 months. Due to statistical and regulatory reasons, no single country was allowed to recruit more than 50% of the patients.

In the past, on a number of global trials, India is a sought after destination – very often after worldwide recruitment rates have struggled. That said, we increasingly find that clients are including India as part of their global clinical strategy.
