The TMI “embedded staff model” which includes having full time staff permanently on site, facilitates rapid patient accrual. Our on-site staffs understand referral patterns and sources, and play a role initiating referrals and maintaining awareness among referral sites. Experienced TMI staff work closely with investigators to ensure adherence to the protocol, manage local referral networks, and identify issues immediately before they become problems.
In one recent global pivotal trial, TMI was brought into a competitive enrollment situation with a large, global CRO which was managing 8 sites in India while TMI managed 8 additional sites. Within 6 months, as a result of our accrual success, TMI was given management for all 16 sites in India. Four months later TMI was out-enrolling the rest of the world (11 other countries) by such a wide margin, that we were asked to double the contribution of patients to the global dossier. By the client’s estimation this took approximately 9 months off the time to filing and their independent post study quality audit cited TMI managed sites as among the highest quality globally.
